Stacy’s Crafty Corner {Spring Wreath}
Posted on March 4, 2010
Logan has been asking to do “an art”…… aka a craft project with mommy. So how do you tell them no? I love art and I love crafting, creating and getting messy. And I love to share this love with the kids. It’s a great release, and a great way to express yourself. Jaxson has a big one coming up, and I am really excited to see what he does with it… you’ll just have to wait and see!
So yesterday while pictures uploaded on the computer I decided to make a spring wreath. It was EASY! And it was GREEN! And it was FAST! An easy, green and fast craft that you and the kids can do. Kids who can tie could make these on their own with minimal help.
You need:
Wire Hanger {you know, the ones Mommy Dearest hated!}
Fabric {I used an old yellow maternity shirt and a cream and pink fleece cardigan}
Pearl ribbon stuff lol any ribbon would look cute I am sure
Take the wire hanger and form a circle with it. I took mine apart and wrapped it around a large beverage cooler to form the circle. I also used pliers to help create the circle as the wire hanger was being a booger.
Next I cut the fabric with pinking sheers into 3-4 inch strips. Took them and tied them onto the wire hanger.I crammed as many as I could onto my wire hanger. After I was done it needed something so I took pearl ribbon and wrapped it around the wreath quickly. And then took an Easter egg spray I had from last year and stuck it on the wreath.
And TA DA!!!!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope this project will inspire you to go out and create!
