I often find myself, as many parents do, asking myself where has the time gone? I am still in a fog, trying to figure out when my baby boy grew up. 8 years ago my world forever changed. 8 years ago I became a mama for the very first time. It was a scary birth and we are so blessed to have him here with us. His birth was full of scares and questions, but he was a tough guy and proved to us that he is not one to mess with. He is a miracle and we thank the good Lord everyday for allowing us to be his parents. I get choked up reliving that day. It was full of excitement, confusion and fear. But here we are, eight years later. He’s growing up so fast. This fella is truly a unique kid. He marches to the beat of his own drum. He’s smart, inquisitive and sharp as a whip. I couldn’t imagine my life with out this fella. He’s an amazing son & big brother!!
We usually spend his birthday at the state fair, but this year the fair was a few weeks after his birthday, so that post will come soon. So we celebrated his birthday pretty low key here at home. Decorations were paper airplanes suspended from the ceiling, it’s his lasted obsession.
And his cake choice was Strawberry Cheese Cake, yep he’s got some great taste! His birthday dinner request was steak, mashed potatoes with gravy and corn on the cob. A real man’s man! It was a lovely day.

I’ve been a terrible blogger. It has been 2 1/2 months since Erin and Greg tied the knot. I don’t know how many times I have sat down to blog about their big day and become lost for words. There are so many great things I want to say and could write pages about this amazing couple, but I know people don’t want to be bored with all my rambling. So I will keep it short and simple.
Erin and Greg were truly meant for each other. I know we all say that, but to say it is one thing, to feel it is another. I have honestly never met such a radiant bride. She glowed from the inside out. Her constant smile and enthusiasm was contagious, so much that my face hurt that night on the way home. It hurt because all I did all day was smile. The family and friends these two have in their lives are so blessed. I feel blessed to have been part of their amazing day and I foresee years and years of happiness. Their journey is going to be full of amazing possibilities!
Erin looked like a true life princess. Her gown was BREATHTAKING. Her fairytale had come true. The energy and love felt in her dressing room was mind blowing. Both Erin and Greg are supported by so many loved ones!
Witnessing the exchange of vows was beautiful. The sermon was fantastic. I laughed. I cried. It was superb!
I love it when a couple gives us more than enough time to get the perfect shots. We were all over downtown St Louis. From the Bucsh Stadium to The Landing. We covered it all. It was a lot of fun. And the whole wedding party were fantastic. We all had a blast. I can’t even count how many times Erin and Greg were congratulated. And people were so taken with Erin’s beauty. They spread love and sunshine throughout St Louis June 13th.
I love it when a bride steps out of the norm. Look at these HOT red shoes!! And it’s always such an added bonus when the bride lets her girls personalize their look. I loved all the silver!!
Being able to get some alone time with the couple is always an added bonus. This is truly the look of love!
Ok, seriously… these two had THE BEST first dance song ever!! Straight from the Karate Kid! Even the mother son and father daughter dances were awesome. Their songs were obviously chosen with much thougth and love. {Greg – You’ve Got a Friend in Me & Erin – My Girl} I really enjoyed all the special dances, and as always a little tear was shed. sniff sniff
The CAKE! Oh my goodness. Chocolate Heaven!!! I don’t usually eat cake at a wedding, but I did for this one and was NOT disappointed at all! It left me wanting more. Just thinking about the cake makes my mouth water. Yum Yum!
We thank you both for allowing us to be apart of your big day! It was perfect! We wish you much love and sucess in your new life together!!!
A big thank you to Donna. She did an amazing job 2nd shooting and she’s always a blast to hang out with! She’s my Yang! And of course I couldn’t have done it without the help from Stephanie!! Her talent is ever growing and her love of weddings grows with each couple we meet. You two Rock My Socks!!

I don’t get to do too many maternity sessions anymore. Since taking on so many more weddings this past year I have limited my number of maternity sessions. This is only the 3rd one I have done this year. I feel it’s very important that I give my wonderful clients my 100%, so by limiting my sessions each month I am able to do this.
I met up with this cute mama and her poor husband while shooting out at Willoughby Farm last weekend. Poor husband? Yep. She’s 38 weeks and he pulled his back out. I have {knock on wood} never pulled my back out, but have heard from my husband and others that it is extremely painful. I hope you are on the road to recovery!
My weekend was full last week. I shot a wedding on Saturday. Sunday I shot 2 high school seniors, 3 families and then this wonderful belly. In one whole weekend I welcomed and shot a circle of life. We marry, prepare for babies, watch our children grow, and then prepare them to take flight. I love the circle of life (humming the Lion King song in my head) and all it’s wonders.
Thank you to L & C. I wish you the best and I look forward to meeting your bundle of joy.
P.S. They have two of the best names picked out. And I cannot spread word until the arrival!

When my kids grow up and have their own kids I look forward to hearing them tell them stories about the adventures we went on. I am constantly looking for a new and exciting location to shoot at. This summer we spent many days driving around looking and taking pictures. It’s fun now that they are gettingolder and are easily entertained with a fisher price camera and a scenic drive. And well if that fails I am thankful for the DVD player we had installed in the truck. It has been a lifesaver many times.
A few weeks ago we were on one of our many adventures and we found this little gem of a place, right snap dab in the middle of Collinsville. Willoughby Farm is a work in progress, but the progress so far is amazing. Please check out the link for more information. I was so excited to be able to use it with my recent Facebook give away. We held 6 sessions at this farm on Sunday and it was fantastic! Numerous times I had folks asking me, “how in the world did you find this place?” Oh if they only knew.
While I shot sessions Stephanie went out and about on the property snapping away and finding more about this amazing place. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone! Come out and explore the farm and it’s trails, pack a picnic and find a spot to enjoy this beautiful farm.
My first session was this fun gal. I was able to talk her boyfriend into popping in on a few. Aren’t they such a great looking couple! Thanks Katie it was great meeting you and your family!
My second session was with this rocking cool family. I shot the little guy last year and was surprised at how big he’s gotten. He’s got the best hair and by far the cutest dimples. He is sure to melt any heart he comes into contact with!
Next up with this fun family! I’ve shot them in the past and this is the first time I had the chance to finally meet Miss O. Thanks so much y’all. It was fun and a real pleasure! You are blessed with two adorable little girls!!
I got to meet one of my Senior Rep’s best friends Sunday as well. It’s always fun to meet new folks, and I especially enjoy meeting bright and fun seniors. Tori makes my job easy, her spunk, style and charisma were contagious! And I always love it when I meet people who tell me they cannot not smile. Good luck on your senior year!
Our last wining session was awarded to the {W} family. I have had the honor of photographing this great family for the past three years. Three years, it blows my mind that I have been doing this for that long. As you can see the kids are pretty comfortable with me and we always have a good time. I love the freedom that the folks give me to capture their kids JUST as they are.
Thanks to everyone who came out. And it was AWESOME that everyone was either early or right on time. It went so smoothly!! It was a great day to hang out at the farm and Stephanie and I are excited to add Willoboughy Farm to the location list!
